The Marketing Director, On Highway Fleets, North America is responsible for deploying the Long-Distance Trucking fleet (Long Haul Region) Mobility Solutions and Urban Fleet Mobility Solutions Business Models in North America, ensuring the delivery of the customer satisfaction, volume, market share, and financial targeted results for this business. Collaborating closely with the Long-Distance truck and Urban business lines. This role will provide North America inputs to the development of their respective global business models, go to market strategies, and new offerings. This role influences a business close to $2B in sales, contributing 35% of the revenues of the Long-Distance Truck and Urban Business Line worldwide.
The Director of Marketing, On Highway Fleets interacts with all functions of the regions, especially Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, and Distribution. There will be also a strong relationship with the Marketing Directors of the business lines, especially the Long-Distance Transportation and the Urban Transportation Business Lines. The interaction consists in providing the inputs of North America to the go-to-market, offer development and deployment of the global strategy. In some cases, strategy development could be delegated to the Marketing of the region.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deploy solutions business models (product, services enabled by tires and technology such as telematics).
Leverage multi-brand strategy.
Gain access to ultimate customer (fleets of different sizes) as well as distribution.
Contribute to the P&L using the marketing levers through market share, volume, and margin.
Customize to the region the business models and offers designed by the business lines.
Build the offer roadmap and steer its deployment.
Define the distribution strategy enabling the market access for each offer/business model.
Articulate the pricing strategy within the global pricing policy.
Be accountable for delivery of customer satisfaction (net promoter score) and business results for two businesses lines in the region.
Own the customization of go-to-market strategy; global interaction becomes important with business lines because the region represents 35%+ of the business.
Offer development: Ability to provide strong input/guidance on strategic offer design.
10-15 years in Marketing, preferably the majority in B2C environments with experience in B2C operational Marketing (vs communication/brand only)
Successful experience in management of small teams ability to become a leader/manager of larger team within the next 3-5 years
Experience in business growth through the deployment of new customer solutions
Experience in customer satisfaction (NPS, ..)
Experience in business model innovation and or business model transformation
Business acumen through business or entrepreneurial experience
Strong Intellect: Bright individual, with ability to judge and handle complex matters. Ability to navigate in a global environment and to provide guidance and inputs for the strategic horizon
