Regularly review and adjust MRS facilities plans and organization structure to support corporate and division objectives.
Oversee MRS operational processes in coordination with MELCO and TSD departments to maintain compliance with MEPPI and TSD quality standards and operational efficiency.
Oversee Lean Manufacturing events and implementation in the MRS organization.
Support MEPPI's safety and environmental programs and initiatives.
Set and approve the MRS Department Quality Policy to achieve and maintain high quality standards, approve the Quality Policy Manual, and delegate the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Policy Manual.
Execute contracts on behalf of the department within the prescribed Limits of Authority.
Lead the MRS staff according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company and department objectives. Develop employees by training, cross training, and providing continuing education opportunities. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide input for salary decisions.
Develop customer relationships in coordination with TSD's Sales and Marketing and Field Service Departments.
Attend and participate in customer meetings before, during and after contract signing in coordination with TSD Sales and Marketing Department.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of MEPPI through interaction with customers, employees, and MELCO personnel.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum ten years of experience with manufacturing, selling, and servicing capital equipment and a minimum 5 years of management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of capital equipment supply chain concepts for the rail transportation industries.
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate and maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, and suppliers.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, understand and negotiate contracts and proposal language.
Ability to work in and foster a team environment.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office and business system software.
