    Position summary

    About the Team

    The Americas Compliance Department (“ACD”) manages compliance risk and provides compliance support services in the United States for Mizuho Bank, Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary bank, Mizuho Bank (USA) and Mizuho Americas LLC, the U.S. bank holding company for Mizuho Financial Group.  ACD manages compliance and regulatory risk by establishing compliance policies, providing training, advising on U.S. regulatory matters, monitoring anti-money laundering and know your customer matters, conducting compliance reviews, and coordinating regulatory examinations.

    Summary

    The individual will be joining the Compliance Equity advisory team reporting to the Managing Director who leads the team.  The team of three is located on the equity trading floor at the Firm’s midtown NYC office.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree

    Providing advice on general trading rules and regulations and advising on real time trading issues

    Coordinate with Business, Legal, and Technology to address outstanding issues and new desk initiatives

    Developing and drafting compliance policies, procedures and guidelines

    Creating content for the Firm’s compliance training programs

    Interacting with regulators and industry groups to analyze new rules/changes and formulate practical solutions

    Strong knowledge of general trading rules/regulations (SEC, FINRA, NYSE, Nasdaq, CBOE, etc.)

    Experience with ACT, CAT Reporting, BlueSheets, Trade Surveillance, Email Review, 15c3-5 

    Strong analytical skills required

    Effective communication skills

    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure

    Assist with regulatory and internal investigations and audits

    Preferred Qualifications

    7-10+ years Compliance/Legal/Regulatory background

    The expected base salary ranges from $135,500 -$250,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
