Position summary

Join the Mizuho team as an Infrastructure Portfolio Manager!

In this role you will be responsible for managing a subset of portfolios of projects and/or programs within IT infrastructure. You will oversee multiple PMs on a project-basis to ensure the success of efforts within their remit.  Additional responsibilities will entail support of a centralized infrastructure project management team including the review of new project demand and engagement of appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely initiation of efforts.  For efforts under your management, you will be responsible for senior level reporting. Additionally you will be expected to ensure cross team and cross tower socialization of project goals, risks, and dependencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of multiple projects or programs inclusive of project-level resources to ensure successful execution
  • Oversee review of demand and new projects as they pertain to existing portfolios
  • Perform portfolio or program level reporting including overall performance and project completion documentation
  • Provides governance & oversight of projects/small programs to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frame, scope and budget
  • Maintains and communicates overall portfolio financials and reports into infrastructure
  • Engages with PPMG team to ensure implementation of projects in line with defined governance structure 
  • Ensures delivery of appropriate management documents (Project Charter, Business Requirements, Project Plan)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Internal/external partners and sponsors ensuring key stakeholders are identified and engaged early in the project life cycle
  • Oversees the management of project closure initiatives

The expected base salary ranges from $104k-$175k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
