of QA testing activities of GMO processes and controls. It will be resourced by onshore and offshore teams who will provide hands on support for, and oversight of, all QA activities impacting GMO.
QA includes in-house QA which is supported by the GMO Risk teams, EIT (Enterprise Independent Testing) QA which is executed by the ETU (Enterprise Testing Utility) on behalf of GMO, and QA which is carried out by the ETU on behalf of GCOR (Global Compliance and Operational Risk).
This senior role is being created to lead the AMRS QA function, reporting to the GMO Risk Horizontal Risk Executive. The role will require partnership with the EMEA team and oversight of the offshore GBS QA team. As this is a newly created role the successful candidate will be required to help design and develop the global QA strategy, to oversee the creation of new teams, roles & responsibilities, design and implement new QA processes, routines and reporting and provide ongoing leadership and support of the AMRS QA team function. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the creation of a critical new control function, and will require the close engagement of GMO leaders and partners outside the GMO organization, including the Enterprise Testing Utility, Global Operations and Global Compliance and Operational Risk.
Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Global GMO Control Executive and the EMEA QA lead, this role will be engaged in the initial creation and implementation of the new QA team, and post-creation, will be responsible for leading the BAU QA activities as follows.
The global team will be responsible for the centralized execution and oversight GMO QA activity. This will include:
Support BAU, including the execution of in house QA testing
Manage new tests, modification of tests. Critical partner for EIT and FLU in test design, development and migration to EIT.
Manage the end to end process of test results, critical liaison with FLU including:
Monitor and accept testing results.
Investigate and rebut unacceptable results.
Validate failed tests and ensure satisfactory resolution of valid fails.
Self-serve and interpret results data, create reporting and manage escalations as necessary.
Provide overarching governance and oversight of all GMO EIT QA:
Monitor and oversee EIT as service provider.
Define the organizational approach for QA, including the rationale for which QA is transitioned to EIT, and which remains.
Define the organizational approach for test design/test script standards, calculation methodologies and thresholds, change controls and test script reviews.
Design tests, create test scripts, capture all testing documentation.
Carry out testing of new QA tests, manage the implementation of new tests and oversee the transition of tests to EIT.
Define the process and rationale for the proactive review and refresh of QA tests, and manage all identified changes.
QA data analysis – trending, themes etc.
Requirements:
Prior Financial Services experiences - Risk, Controls, Regulatory experiences Highly preferred
Knowledge of Global Market operations processes and controls is desirable, to be able to understand and define testing requirements for key processes.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication (oral / written) skills with attention to detail
Strong coordination skills as will need to navigate across a number of Global Market Operations teams and enterprise stakeholders
High level of attention to detail, ability to self-start and adapt to a fast paced environment with multiple deliverables.
Able to build/maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Experienced in a testing environment is preferred.
Prior experience in leading high visible work and be an individual contributor
