Essential Duties

• Handles and manages accounts effectively on an ongoing basis. Provides coverage analysis and risk management recommendations, completes applications, prepares submissions, negotiates coverage and pricing with markets, and prepares proposals according to agency standards and workflows

• Performs customer service and account management responsibilities that include resolving issues related to billing, making changes to policies, and responding to policy coverage related questions in a timely and professional manner in accordance with agency standards and workflows

• Prepare exposure comparisons, premium comparisons, renewal reviews and renewal proposals

• Loss runs reviewed monthly, quarterly or semiannual based on account premium and loss history

Qualifications

• Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential.

• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities

• Self-starter, demonstrate resourcefulness, and have good problem solving skills

• Exhibit competent coverage, underwriting and risk management knowledge.

• Technology savvy and full proficiency in web browser software, agency management systems (Sagitta) and Microsoft Office products

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years agency or brokerage experience in Property & Casualty lines of coverage.

• P&C licensure (Property & Casualty) or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment required.

• Insurance designation (i.e. INS, AAI, CISR) or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge preferred. Preferences of working toward CPCU, CIC, ARM, and/or AU designation.
