Actuarial Business Analyst North America
The Actuarial SME team in Operations & Support is seeking an Actuarial Business Analyst to join the North American team. Our team works on the provision and operational management of systems and tools that support the Wealth Retirement business in many geographies. Qualified actuaries or senior actuarial students with experience in US and/or Canada who are interested in development and support of the most important systems for the Wealth Retirement business are invited to apply.
The position can be located on a remote basis anywhere in the United States or Canada.
What Can You Expect?
Translate business strategies and objectives into business requirements.
Provide traceability of business requirements to IT Solutions and ensure system testing encompasses existing capabilities of solution as well as future function point requirements.
Ensure development and QA teams have a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
Conduct/facilitate user acceptance test (UAT) for solutions with user community, including development of UAT scenarios and test scripts.
Develop, deliver, and evaluate user training and supplemental materials.
Conduct analysis of feasibility of new solutions and their potential effect on existing functionality.
Partner with Business/IT to define and manage the scope of each release.
Provide user support of US and CA retirement tools and systems through Wealth Applications Help Desk.

We Will Count On You To:
Turn high-level requirements into solutions and detailed specifications, including actuarial calculations. Imaginative approaches to addressing complex problems will be required.
Develop detailed test plans and carry out unit/system testing to ensure quality of new functionality.
Support the ASW and Consulting Offices through the user acceptance testing process.
Produce detailed help, release notes and training materials, delivering training as necessary.
Provide day-to-day actuarial support in response to queries raised by business users in the ASW and Consulting Offices.
What You Need To Have:
Detailed knowledge and at least 3 years' experience of pensions and actuarial practices in US and/or Canada.
Strong experience in all phases of valuation process.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational skills, you should be able to work independently and manage own efforts on multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to work with colleagues in different groups such as development and QA teams, Wealth business in different countries.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong experience in pension actuarial applications, e.g., Retirement Studio, Mercer Globe, RMS.
Programming aptitude (able to follow basic code or pseudo-code) would be an advantage.
Experience with valuations of other countries would be an advantage.
