Role Description:
To understand the Sanctions policies and procedures of MMC and able to conduct the due diligence on Alerts
Role Requirements
- Must be able to understand the Sanctions risk and conduct the assessment based on the internal and external guidelines .
- To understand and perform due diligence i.e, adverse media assessment , PEP assessment , Bribery and Corruption assessment in accordance with the set criteria as part of the MMC Policies and Procedures
- To provide advice ,guidance and support to relevant stakeholders on compliance/regulatory requirements
- Maintaining working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and ensure that business activities are aligned to company compliance policy and procedures
- To understand the exceptional requirements and seek relevant sign offs where required from LCPA colleagues and escalate potential sanction alerts
- Post achieving competency, mentor and guide other analysts in the team and assist in communicating any process updates or changes.
Technical Skills
- To have a fair understanding of the Financial Crime Compliance laws, Anti Bribery Corruption and Sanction requirements . Able to perform risk assessment on client due diligence requirements as per the requirements.
- Ability to conduct Peer reviews on the alerts closed by Team members.
- Ability to research and summarise appropriate information
- Ability to mentor and guide other team members.
- Ability to Innovative pro-activity in process development / improvements.
- Strong Computer knowledge , excellent MS word , excel and PowerPoint skills
General Skills
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Responsive and enthusiastic and able to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines
- Must be self motivated , dependable , adaptable and detail oriented with the proven ability to work independently or with in Team environment
Preferred candidate profile
Prior Experience
- 5 years or more of relevant experience in BFSI or Insurance sector in the field of Sanctions Compliance / Sanctions Operations.
- Experience of Insurance / Reinsurance and including broking environment.
- Ability to systematically manage, retrieve and present data.
- Experience in working with regulatory bodies or on a regulatory project will be an added advantage
Education/ Qualification
- Graduate from a recognized University with good academic record.
- May have further professional qualifications in Risk Management and / or Financial Crime/Money Laundering and / or Compliance and / or Legal.
