Marsh is currently looking for a Placement Specialist in New York City, Chicago or San Francisco

We will count on you to do:
- Utilize your risk expertise and industry knowledge to analyze client's current and historical exposures
- Develop solutions, solicit quotes, negotiate with markets, analyze comparisons and articulate impact of options, helping develop solutions that meet client needs
- Manage the order to bind & the accuracy of programs based on client direction
- Participate in pre-strategy meeting to create and implement renewal strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with carriers, underwriters and the client team to provide excellent client service
- Keep abreast of changing global and international risk and insurance market conditions
- Identify the need for new products and suggest innovative solutions to the client team and clients
- Advise client team and client on international insurance requirements in collaboration with Risk Practices and Multinational Servicing Offices
What do you need to have?
- 3+ years industry experience and success working collaboratively in a matrix team environment
- Strong problem solving including critical thinking and communication skills
- Solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing and sales skills
- Prior insurance experience, with a broker or carrier
- P&C license, or ability to obtain
- Bachelors' degree preferred
