An opportunity has arisen to join our Finpro Claims practice as a Claims Advocate, where you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive claims service on complex financial lines claims.
The Finpro Claims Advocacy Team is dedicated to financial and professional liability insurance claims. The core teams are Financial Institutions, Management Liability and Professional Indemnity but the team also deals with cyber and specie claims.
The Finpro Claims Advocacy Team is predominantly based in London and provides claims advocacy services on behalf of clients where assistance is required on more complex aspects of liability and specialty lines claims.
Claims Advocates work closely with clients, overseas offices and other colleagues in providing strategic, technical and tactical claims advice.

We will count on you to:
- Review declinatures that may be referred to Advocacy team.
- Provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients on major, contentious, sensitive or complex claims across a variety of management liability and specialty product lines.
- Identify appropriate policies and/or coverages on complicated claims and analyse notification against the same, to provide solutions to clients against future risks.
- Leadclaims process for clients, and detailed client claim review meetings, and participate in claims strategy discussions in order to ensure progress from notification through to closure.
- Communicate with clients, internal teams and relevant contacts within the market to ensure the successful settlement of claims across all relevant lines.
- Work with Marsh Operations team to ensure the effective handling and processing of claims on market and internal systems.
- Work with Broking colleagues to provide claim information for business renewals.
- Comply with appropriate regulatory, systems and controls procedures.
- Develop thought leadership materials
- Work on RFPs and marketing materials to help win and retain clients.
- Represent Marsh in client meetings, articulating the claims advocacy proposition as both a differentiator and a revenue generator.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience of managing and resolving complex management liability claims.
- Significant experience gained within a Claims team, or coverage team at a law firm, is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience of presenting to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to identify revenue opportunities and secure engagements.
