Marsh JLT Speciality is seeking a Marine Claims Advocate to be based in our London office.
The role

What can you expect?
- The successful candidate will also be expected to provide pre and post loss advice to clients, assist our Client facing colleagues with the development of new Insurance products and the promotion of our Business as we continue to expand our Marine client base
- Working within the Marine Claims team as part of the Marsh JLT Specialty Marine Practice
- Marsh JLT Specialty have an extremely broad client base across all the major lines of Marine business both on a Wholesale and Retail basis
- Working with our Global Network of Marsh offices and Partners as well as directly with Clients and Prospects

We will count on you to:
- Provision of Marine claims advice to clients, liaison with experts appointed by clients and insurers and negotiating with all Stakeholders in order to obtain the best possible settlement outcome
- Assessing technical claims information in conjunction with policy wordings and developing strategies for successful handling and resolution of claims
- The successful candidate will also be expected to provide pre and post loss advice to clients, assist our client facing colleagues with the development of new insurance products and the promotion of our Business as we continue to expand our Marine client base
- Assist with the training and development of junior colleagues across the Marine division.
- Assist in monitoring market claims performance with our Key insurer partners and development of our trading relationships
- The role will likely require a willingness to travel to Clients both in the UK and internationally
What you need to have:
- Proven Marine insurance experience is essential ideally over multi-discipline classes of business
- Proven relationship management experience
- ACII part / fully qualified (or equivalent) preferably in Marine
- Demonstrable experience in the management of Complex and large value claims
- Experienced negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience reviewing and developing policy wording and claims procedures

- Proven Marine insurance experience is essential ideally over multi-discipline classes of business
- ACII part / fully qualified (or equivalent), preferably in Marine
- The successful candidate will also be expected to provide pre and post loss advice to clients, assist our client facing colleagues with the development of new insurance products and the promotion of our Business as we continue to expand our Marine client base
- Sales experience and the ability to develop proposals demonstrating our services to clients and prospects
