We will count on you to:
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure dissemination and consistency of accounting policy globally
- Conduct research and document conclusions on specific accounting matters that arise within the Global Controller network
- Act as a subject matter expert on accounting and reporting issues and responds to inquiries by Global & Regional Controllers, Operating Company Financial management and Business Leaders
- Ensure completion of reports according to due dates and accuracy of reporting
- Review financial statements and provides guidance on disclosure
- Lead and coordinate completion of special projects, in particular the implementation of new Accounting standards globally.
- Advise management of any new guidance released from the SEC, FINRA, IASB and FASB, which will have implications on the organization
- Communicate and manage a plan to implement any relevant changes to the financial reporting process
- Ensure implementation plans for new accounting standards, appropriately considers the Company's ongoing Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements
- Manage staff in matrix environment and provide appropriate management to ensure quality of work and integration of team members' work
What you need to have
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
- 10 years or more of technical accounting experience
- Be highly analytical
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Successful track record interacting with business leaders
Nice to have
- CPA is a major plus
- Experience working at the Big 4 preferably at the National Office or Accounting Advisory Services
- Experience with consolidation and business combination accounting
