What you can expect:
This is a New Business focused, field based Employee Benefits role with Mercer Marsh Benefits. Your principle task is to sell to new business opportunities across risk & health products to current and new clients. Though this role is allocated to our London office, you can be based anywhere in England.

We will rely on you to:
Ensure new business revenue levels are achieved in line with agreed targets and deadlines
Deliver & lead high quality compliance
Follow processes & procedures to ensure high quality
Personally manage relationships with some Introducer arrangements.
Take ownership and accountability for delivering new business activities undertaking prospecting activity and participating in or leading tenders/pitches as required.
Identify and develop new business opportunities
Provide accurate reports incorporating activity and results
Work closely with relevant support teams to provide excellent service to clients
Work closely with product providers
Develop effective relationships with key insurers
Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations
Communicating with target audiences
Up-selling of additional products to all clients and cross selling MMB's products and services
Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management
Set examples to colleagues in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational skills, and work habits
Ensure all business activity is recorded and reported on accurately, comprehensively and promptly using CRM systems
Support in responses to RFPs.
Highlight problems or opportunities as early as possible to Business Development Manager.
Ensure at all times that business transacted/advice given is in strict accordance with the rules and spirit of the Company's Compliance, T&C and business instruction manuals.
Assist the Business Development Manager in creating a positive team environment, and delivering the necessary targets. Support the Leadership Team with input to the development of the overall proposition, including product design, financials and delivery.
What you need to have:
GR1 & IF7 Required or Working towards, and IF1 is preferable
GCSE Grade C or above in Maths & English
Significant and proven experience in the Employee Benefits Industry
Proven new business face to face track record
Have strong negotiation skills and ability to influence internally and externally
Must be a strong communicator, oral and written, and able to communicate effectively at all levels both inside and outside the company.
A team player who is self-motivated, industrious and works well under pressure.
Have a flexible and adaptable approach.
Integrity and knowledge of the Company's Compliance, T&C and business instruction manuals.
Numerate with competent IT skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven new business skills.
