Job overview:
Oliver Wyman is looking for an ambitious individual to take up a knowledge analyst role in their knowledge management team, supporting the Knowledge Expert for the Retail & Consumer Goods practice (RCG). This placement will be based in our Shanghai Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow and expand their experience, learning and being part of a busy, fast paced global knowledge management team in a renowned consulting organization.
The purpose of this role is to help support, develop and facilitate knowledge sharing across the business. The aim of the knowledge analyst will be to assist the RCG Knowledge Expert in maintaining knowledge tools and help develop/ promote tools and processes which increase information flow and best practice sharing across the firm. You will gain exposure to a wealth of information and resources that will allow you to develop as a professional, as you expand your expertise in knowledge management, the RCG sectors and consulting.
With the support of a senior team member, you will have the opportunity to take on responsibilities and interact with senior executives within the firm, directly contributing to the business and helping shape Knowledge Management (KM) in the region
Key Responsibilities:
- Help define and deliver the Knowledge Management plan and priorities for the practice
- Manage the collection, codification and dissemination of the Intellectual Capital (IC) generated within the practice, especially in APR
- Manage and deliver KM projects, e.g. credentials' packs, knowledge pages, etc.
- Supporting tasks related to dissemination of content and help facilitate knowledge flow within the practice and within KM
- Provide Support to resolve KM requests placed by consultants
- Help connect the RCG APR team with what is being developed and disseminated in EMEA and NA
- Support in Business Development initiatives
- Support the KM team in cross practice, internal initiatives
Experience required:
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills both written and spoken is a must
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative and collaboratively as a part of a global team in a multicultural environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Word and PPT); familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of HTML would be a plus
- Working experience with Microsoft SharePoint is not needed, but would be a plus
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with colleagues on different seniority levels, geographical locations and areas of the business
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, time and deadline management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work through a challenge to completion
