Oliver Wyman is looking for a Translator (Arabic-English) with at least 6 years of Translation experience to join our team in Doha.

The Opportunity

Oliver Wyman Middle East is looking for highly skilled bilingual translator with 6+ years' experience of translating/interpreting professional client materials between English and Arabic in a business environment.

You will join our professional translation support function and give you the opportunity to work on various industries and build your career.

Key Responsibilities:

• You'll be professionally translating between English and Arabic business and technical documents, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained, including: published marketing reports, marketing presentations, client proposal, client presentations and other internal presentations and documents

• Managing the workflow of the incoming translation requests. This will include managing both internal and external resources, including translation freelancers or agencies, by managing workflow and closely monitoring their quality of output

• Acting as coach/guide to partners, consultants, team members and support professionals engaged in writing materials in Arabic

• Liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points and consults with subject matter experts and project teams in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately

• Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation

• Uses highly specialized translation software to encourage efficiency and consistency

• Retaining and developing knowledge on specialist areas of translation

• Adheres to industry quality standards to ensure that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations

Who we are looking for:

• You'll be Degree qualified, preferably with post-graduate qualification in translation/interpretation

• You'll have at least 6 years' experience in translating/interpreting in a business environment, preferably in management consulting

• You'll be fluent in English (written and spoken) and be a native Arabic speaker

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel and in computer assisted translation (CAT) tool, e.g. SDL Trados is essential
