The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for the service, sales and retention of client accounts assigned to the Client Response Team. Responsible for managing client service needs within a managed call queue environment.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PERSONAL LINES ACCOUNT MANAGER:
- Receive phone calls and office visitors requesting changes to existing coverage and/or requests for new policies.
- Determine acceptability and placement, complete applications or endorsement requests and collect premium when applicable.
- Service a high volume of accounts independently utilizing carrier websites and online rating systems.
- Maintain client files accurately and consistently. Properly document files and communicate in accordance with company workflows, procedures and Best Practices. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Maintain timely automated follow-up on outstanding activities and correspondence.
- Actively seek referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects, as well as additional lines of business for existing clients.
- Knowledge of underwriting and rating procedures for all types of personal lines policies including performing underwriting functions whenever necessary.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Current Florida 2-20 or 20-44 license or willingness to obtain.
- College degree desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years' experience with knowledge of insurance markets and underwriting procedures.
- Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts. Ability to work in a team environment.
- Interact with others effectively by utilizing strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs as well as intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products. Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required.
- Strong time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
- Ability to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information and respond appropriately
