Regulatory Reform Lead Finance Operations

- The primary role of the Regulatory Reform Lead is to identify regulatory reforms impacting Finance Operations, and lead the relevant change implementation within Mercer to ensure compliance.

We will count on you to:
- Ongoing monitoring of regulatory requirements within the superannuation space and ensure appropriate engagement of internal stakeholders (eg: program delivery team and regulatory reform team) to initiate change process.
- Act as delegate of discovery and delivery product owner in the relevant legislative change projects representing finance operations team. Provide SME input into the projects where relevant.
- Provide ongoing support for finance operations team members in managing regulatory change projects related queries from clients and project updates to Finance Operations team.
- Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Policy Manager in discrete ad hoc tasks for projects, installations, and transitions as required, ensuring the team's key deliverables are effectively covered. Develop and maintain written procedures for critical changes. Identify opportunities to enhance processes and develop practical solutions.
What you need to have:
- 10 plus years within Financial Services Industry.
Financial services regulatory experience essential with strong preference for superannuation specific experience.
CA or CPA preferred
- Deep technical knowledge in superannuation regulatory reporting.
- Strong proven interpersonal & communication skills at all levels in an organization, both written and verbal and internally and with clients.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
