Senior Business Analyst - London or Witham Offices - remote/flexible working available
What can you expect:
As a customer-focused strategic thinker you will join our project team working within IT, reporting directly to the Global Business Analysis Lead with a dotted line to the Head of Digital Operations
On a day to day basis you will work to support IT and digital business needs and your main tasks will include performing detailed requirement analysis, documenting processes, conducting QA testing and coordinating user acceptance testing
You will feel comfortable influencing and interfacing with various stakeholders at all levels and across functions

We will rely on you to:
Be a proven insurance industry thought leader with strong skills as a Senior Business Analyst responsible for understanding business needs, facilitating business requirements, documenting business requirements in Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and developing current and future state process diagrams
Documenting use-cases required to support business requirements for application development and developing requirements traceability matrixes as input for QA and UAT
Translate business strategies and objectives into business requirements
Provide traceability of business requirements to IT solutions and ensure system testing encompasses existing capabilities of solution as well as future function point requirements
Identify, verify and document functional requirements using requirements management methodology and tools - Identify data elements and provide data mappings and dictionaries
Analyse, design, redesign and document business processes - Ensure development community has a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
Conduct and facilitate acceptance tests for solutions with the user community including development of UAT test scenarios and test scripts - Develop, deliver and evaluate training and supplemental materials
Conduct and analyse feasibility studies and impact assessments regarding implementation of IT solutions against current state parameters (process, application use-cases, non-functional impact)
Partner with business and IT to define and manage scope with each release
Provide constant and clear communication of objectives, status, tactics and results to all relevant stakeholders
Occasional contribution towards global projects across the business (focused on Central Europe) involving multiple countries, practices and functions
What you need to have:
Strong experience working as a Senior Business Analyst or Strategic Business Analyst
Significant experience of Acturis and Jira is essential
Demonstrated expertise and experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following focus areas: Digital Platform, Salesforce, Insurance, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Project management
Substantial writing skills with the ability to write business/functional specifications, create process flow diagrams, and manage tasks to the agreed release plan/schedule
Strong Insurance/Insurance Underwriting experience - ideally in the MGA/MGU arena
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, lean organisation amidst a shifting competitive landscape
Unmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without sacrificing quality
Demonstrated track record as a trusted team player in the IT group, with ability to turn information into effective strategies and executable plans
Strong influencer skills amongst key stakeholders resulting in demonstrable business impacts
Sound business acumen and strategic skills with an obvious IT and operational bent; ability to quickly grasp complex business strategies and identify downstream upstream implications
What makes you stand out:
Significant Insurance/Insurance Underwriting experience - ideally in the MGA/MGU arena
Business intelligence process and tooling knowledge/skills
Strong Acturis experience
Strong quantitative and analytical capability bolstered by exceptional oral and written communication skills
Excellent ability to listen, understand and translate senior leadership needs, negotiate objectives, deliverables and activate the organisation to deliver results in the business and beyond
CRM, PMP or BCS certification
