Job Summary: The Client Advocate manages effective and efficient resolutions for their client's business risk management needs. This position leads multiple priorities efficiently; communicates with clients in a clear and concise fashion; identifies issues and implements appropriate resolutions; and collaborates with other team members and carrier partners.
Essential Job Functions:
Servicing Clients:
- Assess and develop the client's business risk program. Identify gaps and make recommendations for additional or alternate coverage based on client needs.
- Independently analyze, prioritize and interpret information while drawing accurate conclusions with minimal direction and/or guidelines.
- Work jointly with the producer and other service team members on the account so all parties are aware of important activities related to client activity.
- Drive preparation of the insurance proposals for clients and lead the remarketing process.
- Prepare coverage endorsements and cancellations as necessary.
- Proficiently maintain agency management system data for accuracy.
- Deliver policies, and related documents to insureds as needed.
- Ensure thorough understanding of the client invoicing process and work to resolve any issue.
- Keep current on industry related topics through bulletins, seminars and carrier training offered. Participate in seminars and continued education for enhanced skill and knowledge development.
- Identify and lead best practice efficiencies by maintaining agency service standards
Carrier Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong carrier relationships.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of carrier capabilities in various markets.
Partnership:
- Drive agency and departmental goals on assigned book of business for retention, upsell and new sales.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvements within department and agency.
- Demonstrate the Code of Conduct for the agency. Be a participant in maintaining a strong work environment and culture for team members.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field or minimum 5 years' experience including strong knowledge of property & casualty coverage and risk management issues.
- Property & Casualty License required. Minimum requirement of the CISR designation. Complete additional designations as required by the role.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and high sense of urgency.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, carriers and peers.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Computer proficiency with system of records, web-based tools, and Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel and Word).
