Senior Property Underwriter - Victor US - (VicUS#)

Victor is seeking candidates for our Sr. Property Underwriting position based in Morristown:

This position is responsible for the underwriting and on-going support of domestic and multi-national property programs that are written on a shared & layered basis. The business will be written on behalf of an A+ rated global carrier through the US offices of our exclusive distribution source

• You will support the success of the Marsh Property practice and will drive the engagement of Alternative capital as part of retail insurance products.
• Within the first 30 days you will need to quickly gain an in-depthunderstanding of the operational process, program rules, and engage with the underwriting team. Within 60 days you will need to begin to assist team members with their assigned books. Within 90 days you will begin to support a book of business, and engage with the marsh brokerage team.

We will count on you to:

• Underwriting The ability to review and document accounts based on program authority. Engage carrier program manager to gain authority for underwriting exceptions.
• Business Development Obtain your broker's license and travel to broker & insured locations throughout the United States in support of the continued growth and profit of the Alternus (property) program.
• Policy Management Ability to manage all phases of the policy life cycle and work collaboratively with our support team to insure a high level of customer service
• Systems Support Ability to adapt to various systems and develop the skills necessary to support client management, continued development and testing
• Process Management ability to adapt to the program workflow, support enhancement and effectively work with a remote team.
• Communicate and collaborate with business partners in other functional areas, including Underwriting, IT, Distribution, Marketing, Actuarial, Accounting and Finance.

What you need to have:

• 5-10 years of property underwriting experience, including shared and layered programs
• Strong analytical aptitude and critical thinking as demonstrated through work assignments
• P&C license mandatory, or ability to obtain
• Proficient skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, & PAS/Underwriting systems
