We will count on you to:
- Work closely with the Mercer's service center, sales producers and their clients to create a fully integrated service team
- Responsible for maintaining and expanding a mid-sized book of business across various industries or specialties, contributing to complex, high-priority accounts
- Develops the sales strategy for managed accounts leveraging an in-depth understanding of client needs, market trends and internal product service offerings
- Manages research efforts and analyses on relevant markets and industries to identify potential relationship needs, target new buyer hubs & areas to expand the book of business for the team and/or personal book of business
- Fulfill competitive and well-thought proposal work for existing or potential accounts and cross-functional opportunities to institutionalize accounts
- Responsible for developing project plans, leveraging technical and professional capabilities
- Conducts analyses to create feasible and effective custom product solutions for new or existing personal accounts or complex team accounts ensuring overall pricing & policy compliance
- Addresses escalated issues in a timely and effective manner and works to ensure relationships are in positive standing
- Actively engages and nourishes relationships and professional networks within client organizations.
- Attends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network
What do you need to have?
- Bachelor's degree. - Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience with background in client management, sales, or benefits administration
- Experience managing complex client relationships and the ability to set and manage client expectations
- Demonstrated ability to lead others in a high visibility client environment
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functionally
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate information concisely internally as well as externally with satellite locations and external clients
- Experience with negotiations and presentation skills. - Strong financial acumen and analysis skills
- Proven project management skills with the ability to execute and follow through on projects
