Marsh USA Inc. is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Phoenix, AZ office:

VP, Lead Applications Developer

We will count on you to:

• Support the transformation of Marsh's digital capabilities while delivering innovative digital products and global business models.
• Develop frontend and backend integrations to assist with Marsh's digital platform enhancements while building and enhancing customer experience across channels.
• Serve as a Change Agent with technology development in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and quality assurance.
• Perform hands-on reviews of product backlog, designs, code, test scripts, and results to address delivery impediments or product quality issues.
• Ensure deliverables across engineering teams are high quality and clearly documented.
• Collaborate with Marsh's Digital Teams on new and existing product development opportunities.
• Stay abreast with new technologies, industry development and evolving best practices to share with team members.
• Lead complex software product delivery in an Agile environment. Build, motivate and lead high performing development teams.
• Coach and mentor the teams towards achieving agile maturity, aligning with Marsh's agile maturity goals.
• 5%-7% national and international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.

What you need to have:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or a related field plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as a Technical Project Manager, Systems/Software Engineer, or a related position.
• Must have seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience with: Software design, implementation, and support experience, including technical solution analysis and resolution of escalated customer queries; Object-oriented application design and development across Windows, RHEL, and SUSE Linux platforms; GUI design and development using client server architecture, HTML, JavaScript, C, object-oriented language C++ or Java (full stack), Visual C++, Win32 API, and Windows SDK; Design and development of data transformation capabilities using Middleware tools; Leading complex software product delivery in an Agile environment; Project financials, resource planning and vendor compliance; Using project management tools including, Confluence, MS Project and SharePoint; Technical delivery and program management experience with global projects in an onshore and offshore model of web-based GUI, and product development and production support teams; End-to-end GUI, web-based, front-end, and back-end test management experience, including creating test plans, developing test scripts, performing test execution, and leveraging testing tools Shell and HP Quality Center; PMO reporting and communications; SCM tools including ClearCase Multisite, SVN or Bitbucket; Project Management including responsibility for all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; Technical delivery and program management experience with global projects in an onshore and offshore model of migration teams; and Must have Agile and Scrum Master Certificates.
