We are looking for a Cloud Architect who will set the direction of our cloud tools and strategy required for building NextGen of multi-tenant SaaS applications. The role will be involved in all major activities related to architecture, best practices, development, and operations of the cloud platform on AWS as well as other cloud providers like Azure, GCP. The platform would allow to provision infrastructure for clients, monitoring tools for different platform services, and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure with focus on security, cost optimization, and stability. You will also be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.
As part of a small team at early stage, you will be involved in infrastructure aspects of application providing guidance on cloud agnostic design. You will work with internal partners across Data Engineering, Data Science, DevOps, Product Engineering, and Product Management in existing SaaS products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build APIs for infrastructure provisioning for clients.
Define design principles for platform and applications to build cloud vendor (AWS, Azure, GCP) agnostic services.
Work with Operations team to build the monitoring and alerting system for different cloud services used by applications.
Review applications cloud architecture for security, cost optimization, stability, and monitoring.
Act as liaison and stay on top of service updates provided by cloud providers and coordinate with application teams on possible impact and remediation
Identify the top cloud architecture to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company
Provide thought leadership and mentorship to the organization across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
B.S./M.S. degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
8+ years of engineering experience with strong operation discipline, preferably with Cloud background
Extensive experience in AWS services and integration with-in business applications
Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms
Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes
Passion to explore and acquire knowledge of new and emerging technologies
Strong knowledge of cloud and network security best practices
Strong coding skills and experience especially using Python to build APIs
Familiarity with financial industry
Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop solutions
Experience with Git source control management
Experience with micro-services, Docker, and Kubernetes
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills. Work effectively with clients, vendors, peers, and business/IT management
Self-learner with great capability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment

For Colorado-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range for this position is $181,300 to $262,900, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual performance incentive compensation.
