The Division is split between Wealth Management Field and Field Management Home Office (Corporate Management team). The F****ield Management Home Office: internal "corporate" team is responsible for managing and driving strategic initiatives for the broader Wealth Management Field organization; various teams include Field CAO, Business Development and Field Training, Private & International Wealth Management, Field Business Risk and Field Business Management & Strategy
Field Business Management & Strategy ("FBMS") reports directly to the Head of Field Management and is focused on partnering with the Field leadership team and other senior members of Wealth Management to analyze, define, drive, and manage the top strategic priorities of the organization. The team's responsibilities are split across five verticals: 1) FA Compensation Policy & Program Management, 2) Manager Compensation Policy & Program Management, 3) Former Advisor Program, 4) Manager & Financial Advisor Facing Platforms & Solutions, and 5) Field Strategy & Engagement.
Position Summary
The Business Management Assistant Vice President (AVP) will play a strategic role in the Manager Compensation Policy team within the FBMS organization. This position is designed for a dynamic and strategic professional who will help drive and manage key components of the Manager Compensation policy. The AVP will work closely with senior management and Field leadership to ensure the effective execution of the program. Key responsibilities include:
Comprehensive Policy Understanding: Develop an in-depth understanding of the Branch Manager Compensation Policy and associated Manager Metrics to effectively support Field and Home Office Leadership in executing the program
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison with technology and other cross-functional teams to facilitate the strategic execution of the program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Innovative Business Solutions: Collaborate with internal business partners to create innovative solutions that enhance program effectiveness and drive business success
Advanced Visualization & Presentation: Utilize advanced PowerPoint skills to create refined, visually compelling presentations for senior management and field presentations, ensuring clear communication of complex data
Analytical Excellence: Conduct thorough analyses of business performance and strategic solutions, assessing their economic impact on the Manager Compensation program
Data-Driven Insights: Transform large, complex data sets into actionable insights, highlighting key trends and providing strategic recommendations for senior management
Process Improvement Leadership: Define and implement detailed process improvements, monitoring progress across key annual deliverables to ensure continuous enhancement of program efficiency
Qualifications and Education Requirements
3-5 years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to Wealth Management
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred, with a strong academic record
Proven experience in the Financial Services industry
Strong strategic planning, finance, conceptual design, collaborative, and organizational skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation capabilities
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe PDF
Familiarity with Dataiku is a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
