The Intern's primary project will involve the comprehensive review of all Parametric investment profiles published to the various consultant databases. Responsibilities will also include providing support to the Data team by working on ad hoc projects that support the team's ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and the intern will be involved in a wide variety of duties related to data, generating reports and other tasks relating to specific accounts and strategies. The team serves as the hub through which strategy and firm-level data is compiled and disseminated to both internal and external clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform a comprehensive review of all Parametric investment profiles published to the various consultant databases.
Utilize source files to resolve any discrepancies or incomplete database fields.
Assist in buildout and maintenance of content in team's Data Repository.
Acquire and organize internal data to support ad hoc projects and decision making as needed.
Assist in consultant database population through an external service provider (Omni).
• Maintain a sense of curiosity and positive attitude towards improving efficiency and team workflows.
• Utilize FactSet and internal data systems to compile comprehensive quantitative reporting including holdings, characteristics, performance attributions, AUM and personnel stats.
Assist with ad hoc data requests in support of team.
May be required to take on additional responsibilities and initiatives that will be executed with limited direction from the Supervisor, Investment Proposals.
• Job Requirements
Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer 2023.
• Junior or rising Senior progressing towards a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel (using PivotTables and V-Lookups), data management and table formatting.
• Strong math and data analysis experience.
• Ability to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous multiple-level projects and tasks with internal departments with a high attention to detail.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be detail oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload.
• Must possess a high level of initiative and have a demonstrated ability to work in a strong team environment.
• Willingness to learn the firm's structure, key personnel and organizational policies and procedures, in addition to a functional knowledge of a professional services environment.
• Experience with Alteryx and Tableau a plus.
