Position summary

responsible for supporting the entire 'Technology Relationship Value Chain' of the firm in the region, ensuring all the capabilities of the technology organizations are harnessed to deliver value to the respective TMT(Tech, Media and Telecom) business franchises. The incumbent will be supporting strategic business relationships between the various technology organizations, the vendor community, and the front office of the Firm's business. This role will include researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting content focused on market trends. This candidate will also be supporting our strategic programs, events and operational activities.

Job Profile

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director responsible for the following sectors: Data, AI/ML/Gen AI, Automation, DevOps, Cloud, Cyber , Business enablement etc. The candidate will also be working closely with the other Sector teams within TechBD. This role will be highly visible at the most senior levels and will also entail very close working relationships with leaders throughout the Firm and external community.

Primary Responsibilities

The Technology Business Development identifies and supports the creation of win-win relationships between the various technology organizations and the business divisions of the bank. The role entails significant elements of relationship development and strategy development. In particular the primary elements of the role include:

Strategy and Insight Development
• Identify accretive internal and external opportunities for the Firm (i.e. brand enhancement, business enablement).

Manage Strategic Programs
• Provide steering and direction for the teams new ventures which may include, but is not limited to, innovation outreach, vendor management, CRM development, event oversight, commercialization of software assets, M&A opportunity development, financial analysis and modelling etc.)
• Additional COO related responsibilities (budget development, goal setting, and operational management) are also required.
• Act as an escalation point as and when required and a proxy for the head of business development when needed.

Event Management
• A hallmark of Company's presence in the industry is its conferences and events for the technology sector. The TechBD candidate is responsible for arranging in partnership with technology banking business leadership a number of significant TMT and CTO conferences in the region as well as identifying new events that are appropriate to the local/regional market. These events are designed to create value for the companies who participate in the conferences, expose internal IT leadership to new companies, and deepen the Company banking relationship with these companies.
• Use these events and other external engagements to promote Company as an employer of choice for those who want to experience challenging and innovation applied uses of state of the art technology.

Location
• This position is based in India(Bengaluru or Mumbai), however the responsibilities are global and business visits to other business offices are expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

Primary Skills Required

This role requires a mix of technical, business, relationship management, and administration skills. The successful candidate would likely have had a background in consulting at a top tier organization as well as an MBA from a top tier school.
• At least 12-15 years of experience in Enterprise IT, Technology Company, Financial Services, or Consulting.
• Experience with Relational, NoSQL, Time Series, BigData, Search, Streaming, BI, and AI/ML solutions.
• Working knowledge of Cloud native data solutions and key data related concepts
• SQL, Python, or other programming experience

Skills Include:

Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership both at Company and external vendors. Collaboration will be at required at both a business relationship level and a technical leadership level (CTO etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively to clients, partners, business leaders, peers. Particular focus placed on the ability to condense large amounts of technical information into concise action orientated digests.
• Strong applied technical knowledge both of the technologies used in banking (applications and infrastructure) and general technology trends.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a global team of technology business development employees.
• Excellent planning and administrative skills, in particular to ensure the logistics of complex external client events are coordinated correctly.
• Ability to innovate and see opportunities for both banking and IT to benefit from new or existing external relationships.

Additional skills:
• Awareness and familiarity of industry trends and key vendors.
• Familiarity with common data tools
• Experience building data pipelines.
• Understanding of data marketplaces
• Ability to condense large amounts of technical or general information into concise digests. Ability to understand Enterprise IT drivers, priorities, and issues, industry trends, and vendor product portfolios.
• Strong writing skills and ability to generate and present materials for senior leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, business leaders, peers, and executives
• Strong communication skills with ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Can manage a complex everchanging priority list and resolve conflicts between competing priorities.
• Requires a mix of technical, business, administrative, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to deliver results.
• Excels at working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues.

• Generic Salesforce or CRM experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Development tools, automation, and low-code/no code technologies
