JORDAN RETAIL CONCEPT - ASSISTANT HEAD COACH
As a Jordan Retail Assistant Head Coach, in close partnership with the Head Coach and store leaders, they will lead a team that helps keep all store functions running seamlessly. In addition, they will play a key role in creating an environment in which employees can excel personally and professionally. The result? An experienced retail leader with a demonstrated ability for leading teams in a medium to large volume store in a fast-paced environment, with high-visibility and potential brand impact. The ideal candidate has the ability to set priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinate activities with other supervisors, apply management skills to improve efficiency and accomplish operational objectives, recruit and hire top talent to ensure a diverse and energetic work environment and prepare statistical and narrative reports of store activities. This leader will have the skillset to promptly resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues. They will lead, value, and inspire their team to prioritize customer service and deliver the Jordan experience to our consumers. This leader will also have an authentic connection to the Jordan Brand along with a strong interest in basketball, Sneaker and streetwear culture.
The Assistant Head Coach will perform all management functions in the absence of the Head Coach. In addition to shared leadership responsibilities, the Assistant Head Coach will focus on one of four Areas of Expertise where they will gain critical experiences to help propel their growth and development.
Consumer Experience. With the consumer at the heart of everything we do, they will help shape how world-class service looks throughout the store, bringing the Jordan experience-both physical and digital-to life for consumers every step of the way.
Athlete Services. In this role, the Assistant Head Coach will ensure the store is staffed with amazing people by attracting, assessing, and onboarding future teammates. In addition, they will equip store employees with the tools they need to be successful in their day-to-day tasks. Most importantly, the Assistant Head Coach will help foster a vibrant, inclusive, and fun work culture.
Product Life Cycle. From receiving in the stockroom to visual merchandising on the sales floor, the Assistant Head Coach will make sure that the consumer always has access to the right product at the right time.
Community & Culture. In close partnership with geo marketing teams, the Assistant Head Coach will focus on traffic driving activity through coordinating store programming across key Jordan service & experience touchpoints and creating relationships with local partners and influencers within the basketball, sneaker and streetwear community.
Collaborate with GC VMS to build and plan successful VMS consumer journey, strategy, and connected in-store storytelling. Ensure all initiatives and plans are aligned to Jordan strategy.
Responsible for VMS + Retail Operation including team staffing/scheduling, product management with CORE, seasonal RTW etc.
Fast react to business needs and manage weekly VMS updates with strong commercial sensibility.
Own and drive premium display with strong understanding to market needs and product seasonality.
Must be a product expert with strong styling skills and trend understanding.
Obsess details, facilitate feedback, communicate successes, and share learnings, consumer insights to x-functional team.
Ensure every store coach and athlete is aware of all campaign and monthly refresh through quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily downloads.
Drive and measure success through key store KPIs.
