    WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

    The first point of contact that you will collaborate with is the Design Triad, consisting of Apparel Design, Color, Graphics, and Print. Layering in Product Management, Merchandising, Sports Marketing, Color/Material/Trim Development, as well as Tech Development.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We're looking for an Expert Color Designer for ACG Apparel. If this is you, you'll work with the Color Design Director to plan and execute color designs and strategize use of palettes across a wide range of product. Working collaboratively with Design, Product Management, Merchandising, Sports Marketing, and Tech Development, you will create focused solutions for success. You will research and design for our most elite athletes and consumers, in our most energetic sports and fields of play.

    Using a strong knowledge of the Nike Men's consumer & culture, you will strategize around product positioning and strive to create meaningful product. A broad understanding of consumer needs, competitor products, consumer retail habits, color, and market trends is important, as you apply these insights into color solutions.

    We are looking for a hardworking Color Designer, who has a deep passion for and connection to outdoor and sport, as well as the ability to comfortably navigate ambiguity and define new spaces of a growing business. Someone who is flexible and can adapt to changing priorities. You will bring a deep understanding and connection to outdoor and sport and have experience building stories that connect with both the athlete and the consumer.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Design or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.

    • Minimum 8 years in technically challenging color design experience.

    • Experience in technical outerwear build and construction, trim details, etc.

    • Experience in technical sportswear, tops, bottoms, base layer, etc.

    • Experience working across genders, including Men's, Women's and Unisex product.

    • Ability to create compelling color blocking theories across a wide range of product.

    • Very high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and ability to manage files with high attention to detail to communicate color application to overseas partners.

    • Experience working with print and graphics color application.

    • Understanding of color trends, color mixing, color compatibility, and color placement.

    • Knowledge of product design and development process.

    • Familiarity with product manufacturing processes including materials/fabrics, dyes/finishes.

    • Strong verbal, written, visual, and high-profile communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations.

    • Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management.

    • Ability to work independently and harmoniously in a diverse group.

    • Ability to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources.

    • Ability to articulate how color can affect product and sales.

    • Ability to travel for insights and inspiration and translate directly into seasonal narratives.

    WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

    As our Expert Color Designer, you will develop color palettes to inform seasonal narratives and inspire iconic color for the ACG Apparel line, including:

    • Build strong presentation tools and visuals.

    • Color line art to detail the creation of each product.

    • Demonstrate a sophisticated knowledge and practice of all phases of product execution.

    Soft skills are important here, as you effectively connect and influence with the team.

    • You will research and deliver color, design, and directional work that influence and impact the product aesthetic, application, and target audience.

    • You'll use sophisticated design skills to build original, innovative color solutions for the ACG Apparel line.
