Cloud Foundations and Core Infrastructure works to make public and private cloud infrastructure within Nike secure, safe, and efficient. We support all of Nike Inc.’s global internal and consumer-facing compute infrastructure.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an Imaging engineer to work within the team to implement, administer, and maintain Imaging/Unix based systems for Nike Data Centers and Cloud operational strategies.
As an Imaging Engineer in Technology Operations, you’ll work with a variety of talented Nike teams on continually improving performance and providing scalable, reliable, and available platforms for all teams. Solving problems with engineering teams who run at a rapid, changing pace is just the beginning. You will contribute to building self-service frameworks and extending tools to enable agility at all levels ofthe operational stack, making it simple and safe for our users to deploy new applications with minimal assistance. In true team fashion, you will have numerous opportunities to share your knowledge with the Unix team as well as the larger Nike Global Technology Organization.

This role is part of the Cloud and Core infrastructure team within Technology Operations.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 5 years’ experience, additional 2 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience in an enterprise setting (eg. hundreds of machines under management, tickets, change management, etc.)
Imaging experience Ubuntu (preferred), Redhat/CentOS/OEL & SuSe
Knowledge & experience with Puppet Enterprise
Strong skills with Hashicorp tools, focusing on Terraform and Packer
Experience with Pulp, TerraForm, GitHub, Ansible or Saltstack
Experience with Containers/Kubernetes
Experience working with APIs
CI/CD experience using Jenkins
Programming experience (Python, PERL, Ruby, Java, etc.) — as well as shell scripting (moderately advanced in shell)
Automation/cloud experience (AWS, Azure)
Comfortable with virtualization environments, primarily vCenter would be a big plus!
Knowledgeable with Jira & agile development methodologies
Knowledgeable with various Imaging OS package management types (YUM/DNF/APT/Zypper)
Strong and diverse Imaging OS troubleshooting skills.
