The Senior Director, NIKE Stores Analytics and Research will be responsible for the Insights vision, roadmap and delivery within the NIKE Stores organization. Alongside developing and applying best-in-class mixed-discipline analytics and research methodologies to support and drive the stores growth agenda. You will be responsible for bringing the wider NIKE consumer data offense to the table to help identify, measure and prioritize work into the key drivers of growth within the stores domain. This person will work with partners across both Global and geo Consumer Insights and our broader product, engineering and technology teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities, frameworks and ways of working to drive the next era of insights growth and business acceleration at NIKE.
In this role, you will be responsible for the growth and development of a high preforming organization with varied skills and focal disciplines across business analytics, behavioral analytics, data science, data engineering, applied primary research, human centered design, VOC and more. You will have a responsibility for driving a global and geo model of collaboration to institute consistent standard processes, methodologies and shared findings. From consumer to product to marketing this role will have impact across all the commercial and consumer drivers. These drivers are needed to enable and drive a successful execution against an aggressive stores growth plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set team strategy, roadmap, and analytics priorities to enable development and execution of innovative solutions that facilitate Nike’s stores growth offense
Coordinate across Global and Geo-based teams of stores analytics professionals to ensure Nike’s most complex strategic, operational and commercial objectives related to the stores acceleration are met – across concepts, product and consumer dimensions
Direct development of models that help us deeply understand and measure the impact of strategies on end-consumer engagement and commerce behaviors
Own relationships with diverse business partners to understand current and anticipate future customer and business needs, understand requirements and define relevant strategic questions
Ensure continual monitoring of the Nike value chain and external environment to challenge assumptions around growth expectations and our comparable “success”
Partner across Insights and Technology organizations at Nike to help accelerate and enhance data capabilities
Build, lead, mentor, and inspire your team; performance coaching, goal setting and development potential
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ Years in Insights / Application with a focus on consumer and retail domains
Track record of collaboration and experience working directly with partners to define and activate a measurement strategy
Knowledge of standard methodologies & current trends in service execution across physical/digital retail experiences
Knowledge of typical big data stack components, how to manage these effectively and how to evolve work throughout the different layers of the stack from foundational data ingestion and modeling all the way through to front end partner facing applications.
Demonstratable budgetary experience
Passion for understanding consumer needs coupled with ability to use analytics to measure / capture behaviors and find opportunities to accelerate growth
Ability to translate business strategy -> data needs -> data strategy -> project execution
International / multi-market retail experience
Demonstrable experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in multi-functional teams with varied levels of understanding of analytics
