    Position summary

    and lead the team of design talents at Nike Running. Recognize and build high quality Women's Apparel product designs and lead a multi-disciplinary design teams including concepts, product, 3D, material, color and graphic designers.

    This person will be passionate about elevating all types of running experience by meeting the needs of both the elite and everyday runners through the impact of "Only-Nike" style & performance experience, culturally connected influences and memorable narratives.

    WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

    If this is you, you will establish and nurture the creative vision & design directions for Nike Running, Women's Apparel product creations and PROMO across Racing and Road.

    You will champion a culturally connected, inspiring creative vision with emphasis on elevating the apparel product designs showcasing the forward thinking innovation, and performance experience that will set the new pace within the Running market to set the trend and lead the industry.

    You will build, hold, and maintain the best standard of practice and design excellence, ensuring the highest standard of quality, consistency, accuracy while pushing the boundaries of creativity!

    Seasonally, you will partner closely with Running Expression, Sr Design Director to evaluate consumer trends, macro global insights and marketplace analysis to lead the team in delivering innovative & craft obsessed designs through both physical and digital creative methods to cross pollinate creative team synergy across product, color, materials, and graphics.

    You'll be deeply involved in developing design strategies and ensuring excellence through advanced concepts. Additionally, you'll manage presentations and communicate design visions to a variety of audiences, ensuring that all projects meet our high standards and timelines.

    You will lead category design resources, processes and relationships to ensure project standards and timelines are met. You will also build and run your own seasonal/annual project workload and will be asked at times to extend outside of the primary activity of Running to support the larger Nike Design community. In addition, you'll work in conjunction with design leadership to develop design and optimally handle the annual goal-setting and evaluation process of your team.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

    • 15+ years of relevant work experience in apparel design

    • In depth experience in the Apparel field, with a focus on performance

    • Enterprise leadership and experience leading creative teams and managing designers

    • Proven ability leading large teams with varied strengths with a team first approach crafting a strong team culture and connectivity

    • Leads as a strategic creative partner to cross-category partners

    • Ability to think strategically about product relevance, product positioning, timing, and collections

    • Strong knowledge of fashion, design, and Lifestyle trends

    • Ability to build seasonal concepts, and provide the team with both short and long-term vision
