WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be a foundational part of our Financial Planning & Performance Management Engineering Team. In this role you will collaboratively work as part of an increasingly high performance, globally distributed, agile team to meet the evolving Financial Planning technology needs of Nike’s Finance organization. The candidate needs to have a solid understanding of Financial Planning processes and robust experience enabling them with streamlined, sustainable, Anaplan-based solutions. A learning mindset, excellent analytical skills, diligent nature, and strong written and verbal communication are essential.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Senior Software Engineer, your primary role on the team will be to build, enhance and maintain Anaplan-based Financial Planning solutions that have a significant, strategic, long-term impact on Financial Planning stakeholders and achieve competitive advantage for the company, aligned with the strategic objectives of Nike and future architectural standards. As needed, this will include data integrations, with automatic reconciliation, to and from sources such as S3, Hive, Snowflake, etc. Delivery outcomes will optimize value for the enterprise through useful functionality, and efficient operations and extensibility. You will help ensure we are delivering sustainable technology by being hands-on: doing peer reviews, providing technical feedback, and ensuring detailed solution documentation.
Longer-term, you'll also assist in the assessment of impacts and maintain team awareness of changes to other solutions that may affect Financial Planning capabilities and ensure there is no degradation of service. In addition, you'll provide technical support and problem resolution for Financial Planning stakeholders, ensuring inquiries and production issue resolution meets business needs and advising process changes necessary to provide the highest quality service possible.

As a team, we regularly interact with Finance and Technology partners, globally. It is our responsibility to partner with Technology Product, Program, Architecture and Engineering peers and leaders to ensure we are aligning appropriate technology outcomes with prioritized leadership initiatives. You will regularly engage with engineers on adjacent collaborative squads to plan and deliver outcomes where financial service, security, reliability, and performance, globally and at scale, are expected.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance or Accounting.
Certified Anaplan Model Builder (L1-L2)
1+ years' experience building robust planning and data models within Anaplan.
5+ years of full lifecycle FP&A solution delivery experience.
3+ years' hands-on experience implementing multi-dimensional Enterprise Performance Management solutions leveraging tools like Anaplan, IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Oracle EPB, etc.
3+ years working within an Agile delivery operating model with demonstrated knowledge of Waterfall and hybrid implementation methodologies.
Strong Excel proficiency.
Has successfully delivered significant business solutions.
Strong functional knowledge of financial systems and processes.
A moderate degree of cloud-based data infrastructure and integration pattern expertise using tools like Amazon API Gateway, S3, SQS, Airflow, Apache Kafka, Lambda, Snowflake, etc.
Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise objective, mature judgement.
Outstanding written and verbal communication.
Results-oriented, motivated, self-starter.
Strong desire to excel and be committed to gaining exposure to multiple technologies and business functions while further developing your career.

Level 3 Anaplan Model Builder
2+ years' experience building robust planning and data models with Anaplan.
Experience designing and developing IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 solutions.
