Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Electronics Engineer / Electronics Engineer. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector remotely.

Roles and Responsibilities-

  • Maintain (sustain) existing processes and tools which include trouble shooting issues & monitoring processes using statistical process control (SPC) methods; process optimization; and trouble-shoot process issues (Root cause investigations).
  • The following processes and equipment will be worked on: Thin wafer handling, wafer dicing, wafer thinning using grinding, polishing, or CMP methods, permanent & temporary wafer bonding; photolithography (contact aligners, projection steppers, automated coat & develop); semiconductor & metal wet etch; plating; photoresist strip & metal lift-off, metal deposition (sputter); ion implantation, wafer metrology (thin film measurement, wafer flatness, SEM, profilometers); and plasma processes (semiconductor dry etch).
  • Work in a team environment, using excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interface with management and personnel from other areas, ability to multi-task, ability to succinctly document and/or summarize their work, and ability for independent thinking.

Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in STEM such as Electrical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science and Industrial Engineering.
  • Be able to obtain a https://U.S. Government security clearance (https://U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of https://3.0/4.0 or higher.
  • Experience with semiconductor process technology (class study or lab experience).
  • Background in materials, chemistry, and semiconductor processing is desired.
  • Background in device technology (Si, III-V compound semiconductor, MEMS).
  • Basic knowledge of design of experiments (DOE) methodology.
  • Experience as a lead in a class project or outside activity.
