Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA and will support multiple programs and personnel.

Successful candidate will be a vital member of the Tactical Space Systems team and perform in an administrative leadership role, which by nature of the position involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive programs, new business, personnel and technical information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicates with executive, administrative, customer and management personnel to gather or convey relevant information
  • Coordinates internal and external briefings/presentations, meetings and customer interface and customer visits
  • Makes travel arrangements and creates expense reports
  • Oversees office moves and supports facility related actions
  • Candidate will also sometimes backfill for the administrative assistant to multiple Directors including managing calendars, coordinating travel, and creating expense reports
  • Position may require some overtime
  • Answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures.
  • Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to supervisors assignment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED and 4 years experience as an administrative assistant, preferably for a large team.
  • Current active Top Secret / SCI clearance or at least recent SSBI
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in business and travel expense system (Concur, Edge, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An exceptional team player, interface well at all levels in the organization, be collaborative, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, detail oriented, and assertive as necessary and able to execute projects and tasks independently
  • Able to work with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow-through
  • Knowledgeable of office operations and established policies and procedures and have a strong network of resources across Space Park
  • Outstanding verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range: $50,200 USD - $83,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
