Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking a well-qualified Audio Visual/ Desktop Support technician to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Roy, UT area. The selected candidate will set up and maintain equipment for audio and video conferencing, and teleconferencing meeting needs, and will also troubleshoot equipment and network configurations. Additional roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Install and troubleshoot A/V equipment, digital signage, and VTC equipment of various nature and complexity within closed areas.
  • Work in collaboration with suppliers to receive quotes, and oversee A/V installation projects.
  • Complete paperwork and other tasks needed to satisfy Security requirements; follow all Security regulations, guidelines, and processes regarding the installation, maintenance, and retirement of AV Equipment and PCs, and PC-related hardware and software.
  • Coordinate with users, IT staff, server administrators, network engineers, and customer and IT management.
  • Review the trouble ticket queue to identify issues that need to be addressed, and work through the ticket queue without requiring management direction (self-motivated); resolve tickets within established SLAs.
  • Raise issues that require management attention or involvement, and establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while adhering to established policies.
  • Participate in new installations, testing, and special projects as needed.
  • May spend significant portions of the day away from the desk supporting end users and moving equipment.
  • Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
  • Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
  • Provide backup/surge support for desktop PC Technicians by assisting with activities including installation, relocation, troubleshooting, service and repair of personal computers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, communicating professionally both verbally and in writing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of additional education and/or experience.
  • Current DoD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) to include an adjudication date, or periodic reinvestigation date, within the last 6 years; maintaining the required security clearance is a condition of continued employment.
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DoD Top Secret security clearance and a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) clearance within a period of time as determined by customer and/or program requirements; maintaining a Top Secret and SAP/SAR clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (eg.: Security+ CE), or the ability to obtain the required certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Experience with the installation and troubleshooting of Audio/Visual equipment in a professional environment.
  • Knowledge of either Cisco call management systems, Crestron systems, or any other associated A/V Touch Panel systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Information Systems related discipline.
  • Crestron (CTS) certification, or hands on experience with BiAmp platforms.
  • Current Security+ CE.
  • Understanding of, and the ability to use, MCUs (Multipoint Control Units) for peer-to-peer conferencing.
  • Basic knowledge of programming (ie. C#, Python, etc.).
  • Advance knowledge and familiarity of VTC cameras, lighting, speakers, computer systems, rack systems, power supplies and systems, VTC systems, and computer word processing skills.
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG.
  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Salary Range: $39,800 USD - $66,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
