Are you interested in defining possible? Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer to join our team!
This position will primarily be located in Chantilly, VA and will support the SIGINT Technology Center's (STC) Falkor Program team. Work location will also be at the customer site as well as an option to work partially remote. The STC is where technology and teamwork come together to meet the unique needs of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. The STC is comprised of multiple mission-focused programs with projects ranging from Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) SIGINT payload and data link development to OCONUS/CONUS mission/maintenance support. STC tasks include system design, engineering development, system integration, hands-on build and test, field operations and maintenance, training, and production.

Primary responsibilities of a successful candidate will include:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications Cyber Software Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science degree STEM field with 2 years of experience; 0 years with a Master's Degree

Basic Qualifications Principal Cyber Software Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science degree in STEM field with 5 years of experience; 3 years with a Master's Degree

Basic Qualifications for a Cyber Software Engineer/Principal Cyber Software Engineer:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Experience programming in a software language
• Experience working in Linux environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
• Angular experience
• Elasticsearch experience
• C++ and/or Java programming experience
• Experience with Signals Intelligence
• Experience with Agile methodologies

Salary Range: $90,600 USD - $136,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
