Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Engineer Software (T02) in Rancho Bernardo, California. The successful candidate will be assigned to develop and deliver software products for an aircraft platform program.

Essential Functions:

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities and the Agile process for a mission systems software program and tool development to support a DevSecOps initiative
• Review of software requirements for completeness and understandability
• Develop automated tests to perform requirements verification testing
• Perform detailed design, code, and testing of those requirements at the domain level as well as support of system and operational testing
• Support tool development to support streamlining of current processes and development of continuous test integration environment
• Candidate will be expected to have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (BS)in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2+ years Software Engineering experience or Master of Science (MS) in a STEM discipline with 0 years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience in C and C++ Object-Oriented Design and Development
• Experience with Python
• Must have US Citizenship
• Active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and SAP (Special Access Programs)
• Must have reliable means to get to work on time every workday - taxis or ridesharing services not permitted

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software emphasis degree - BS Software Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Computer Science, or similar technical degree
• Software development experience in embedded real-time software
• Fluent in the following languages C, C++, Python
• Familiarity with communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553)
• Experience in complete software development lifecycle
• Experience in Agile Software methodologies - Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Experience with software development in real-time embedded systems for military applications
• Experience in using integrated development environment tools (e.g., Rhapsody) and real-time operating systems (e.g., Integrity)
• Active in-scope Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance
• Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Salary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
