Financial Analyst or Principal Financial Analyst

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Structures Business Unit (ASBU) is seeking a Financial Analyst (Level 2) or Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3) to support programs in Clearfield, UT. This position prefers the ability to work onsite in Clearfield, UT, but partial/full telework may be available.

You will be responsible for supporting our programs and plant. This position will work very closely with program management, operational leaders, internal and external customers, and other sites within ASBU.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports and communicate recommendations to management in a clear, organized summary. Serve as a resource in understanding results by reporting and investigating variances.
• Analyze spending and cost of production weekly and provide direction to management to balance risk and cost targets.
• Provide monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to support business processes.
• Assist in planning and forecasting program financial performance. Prepare future strategic plans.
• Use financial reporting and provide analysis of key metrics to direct management toward areas of improvement or to surface operational issues.
• Support proposal and pricing efforts for both new business and changes to existing customer contracts.
• Develop, maintain, and establish financial information systems considering such things as labor tracking, material consumption, and total cost on operation floor.
• Responsible for continuous improvement and process efficiencies. Perform special projects related to financial and budget analysis.
• Coordinate quarterly EAC (Estimate at Complete) process.
• Able to efficiently work independently or with a team to achieve the desired objective by the specified deadline.
• Support various indirect reporting activities as required.
• Perform closeout activities on completed contracts.

Basic Qualifications (Level 2)

• Master's degree with 1 years' experience, a Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience or a High school diploma/equivalent with 7 years' experience in accounting, financial experience (including pre graduate work), and/or similar industry related experience.
• Experience with MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel
• Analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to organize deliverables in a clean and presentable format.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Ability to work on site in Dayton, OH with a hybrid telecommute schedule as allowed by the business.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3)

• Master's degree with 4 years' experience, a Bachelor's degree with 6 years' experience or a High school diploma/equivalent with 10 years' experience in accounting, financial experience (including pre graduate work), and/or similar industry related experience.
• Experience with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, Government Compliance and/or accounting.
• Experience with MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel with Pivot tables & VLOOKUP
• Analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to organize deliverables in a clean and presentable format.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Ability to work on site in Dayton, OH with a hybrid telecommute schedule as allowed by the business.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or mathematics
• Experience with defense contracts
• Experience in program/cost accounting, and legal/contracts
• Experience with program cost control, proposal & pricing support and/or planning & forecasting
• Experience with cost analysis or estimating in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Experience partnering and supporting senior leaders of any functional business unit.
• Operational knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, and business environments.
• Active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Department of Defense

Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD
Salary Range 2: $76,200 USD - $114,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
