Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Dev Ops Software Engineer to join the Ground Subsystems Support Contract (GSSC). The position will be located at either Hill AFB, UT or Vandenberg SFB, CA. However, will consider remote support for the right candidate.

Things you get to do:

Subject matter expert to provide Minuteman III Trainer Software leadership to the Training Systems Integration Laboratory (TSIL) at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) for architecture, design, development and delivery of Classified Minuteman ICBM Trainers Software.
-Intimate working knowledge of MM III Launch Control Operational Software and procedures is required.
-Coordinates with USAF Weapons School officers to develop warfighter training device capabilities to meet tactics, techniques and procedures development for ICBM operations
-Proposes training system modification efforts and advocates for new/additional scope for Minuteman ICBM programs.
-Must be familiar with AFNWC, AFGSC, 20th AF, and 625th STOS operations and procedures as affecting MM III Trainers outcomes.
-Develops cost, schedule and delivery plans that must interface with multiple external program stakeholders and programs (IOSSP, LCCBU, MMPU, HAC/RMPE, and ICUII).

Basic Qualifications:

  • 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD. Additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
    -Subject matter expert to provide Minuteman III Trainer Software leadership to the Training Systems Integration Laboratory (TSIL) at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) for architecture, design, development and delivery of Classified Minuteman ICBM Trainers Software.
    -Intimate working knowledge of MM III Launch Control Operational Software and procedures is required.
    -Must be familiar with AFNWC, AFGSC, 20th AF, and 625th STOS operations and procedures as affecting MM III Trainers outcomes.
    -Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or Master's degree in Project Management with at least 10+ yrs of project management in Minuteman III weapon systems
  • Experience conducting engineering analysis and evaluations, software documentation and delivery specific to Minuteman Procedures Trainers (MPT) software development & implementation
  • Experience as a certified Missile Combat Crew Instructor/Evaluator
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on team building, collaboration and engineering consensus
  • Project Management/Professional (PMP) certification

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
