There is currently an opening for an Inventory Material Control Support 2 or Inventory Material Control Support 3 join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will report to the Business Manager and will support financial reporting activities. This position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units, Sonoma Photonics, Inc. and will be located onsite in Santa Rosa, CA

Essential Functions:

  • Provides support to the inventory / material planning and control function.
  • Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
  • Assists with preparing and monitoring material requisitions and material schedules with production schedules.
  • Coordinates with engineering, the specifications and production schedules and plans material movement within purchasing, warehouse, production and shipping.
  • Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Q ualifications:

Inventory Material Control Support 2:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in account management, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance upon hire.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance

Inventory Material Control Support 3:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in account management, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance upon hire.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $39,900 - $66,500
Salary Range 2: $47,600 - $79,300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
