    This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a level 2 Contract Administrator or a level 3 Principal Contract Administrator to join a Restricted Program team. The selected candidate will report directly to the Contracts Manager. This position is located on site in Melbourne, Florida. Partial telework may be available.
    Essential Functions:

    • Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
    • Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Prepare bids; process specifications, progress, and other reports; advise management of contractual rights and obligations; compile and analyze data; and maintain historical information
    • Perform contract execution tasks
    • Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts
    • Provide knowledge of the FAR and DFARs, general knowledge of pre and post-award federal government contracting industry practices, techniques, and standards
    • Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex contracts administration tasks, to include proposal preparation, the development of change orders and processing of inter-company work orders
    • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

    Basic Qualifications for a Contract Administrator:

    • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of contracts, proposals, and/or business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of stated experience
    • Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
    • Top Secret Security Clearance

    Basic Qualifications for a Principal Contract Administrator:

    • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience in Business Management or a Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience
    • Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Experience in government contracts
    • Experience and knowledge of FAR/DFAR, CAS, and experience with DOD contracting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and computer skills
    • Top Secret Security Clearance
    • Ability to effectively work with employees at all levels

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • An advanced degree in a relevant field (JD, MBA, etc.)
    • Current Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
    • Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry
    • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
    • Experience with various contract types including cost reimbursable, fixed price, time and materials
    • Experience with various types of agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements

    Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $90,800 USD
    Salary Range 2: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
