    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Pricing Cost Estimating 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Strike organization. This leadership role is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

    This individual will reside in an Aeronautics Systems west coast location and report to the Aerospace Sector Manager of Independent Cost Evaluation & Estimating Analytics.
    The selected candidate is responsible for creating and maintain a certifiable historical / analytical data base for all AS program proposals; leading/coordinating in the development/review of cost estimating products & capabilities (ROMs, parametrics, models).

    The successful candidate will provide leadership & support for estimating, cost analysis & database development. Stakeholder/Functional Coordination, Cost Data Base Operation, Design & Plan Development, Tool Selection, Data Collection & Analysis. User Communications/Training, and maintain an integrated, real-time accessible NGAS cost history database to enhance cost estimating/analysis/modeling and cost proposal development for the sector.

    Effectively integrate the AS Cost History Database into the sector's proposal development and estimating processes. Establish a cost analytics/estimating team focused on implementation of the NGAS CHDB and leverage this expertise in development of cost estimates (ROM), analytics (should cost/comparative analysis) and modeling (LCCE) for NGAS acquisitions and other business needs.
    Effectively integrate the cost analytics/estimating team capabilities and products into the sector proposals and acquisitions
    Travel as required

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Database design & plan development

    • Cost analysis

    • Process and procedures

    • Stakeholder/Functional Coordination and integration

    • Tool Selection, Data Collection & Analysis.

    • User Communications/Training, and maintain an integrated, real-time accessible NGAS cost history database (CHDB)

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline with minimum 7 years of relevant professional or military experience or 5 years with a Masters. Appropriate equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
    • Demonstrated expertise in data management and requirement breakdowns
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of people.
    • Demonstrated ability to support complex operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
    • Dynamic, self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations
    • Possess a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.
    • Ability to use SAP and future data collection systems

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in appropriate discipline from an accredited educational institution.
    • Background/education in Mathematics or probability analysis related disciplines
    • Systems understanding / experience- ability to break down requirements
    • 10 years relevant experience including exposures in the cost/business management/ops research world, with a strong knowledge in proposal estimating.
    • Experience in the aerospace industry products and services.
    • Active/ transferable Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.

    Salary Range: $134,600 USD - $201,800 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
