Northrop Grumman's Propulsion Work Center of Excellence is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to join our team in Dulles, VA. This is an entry level Mechanical Technician position supporting aerospace flight integration operations. Candidates need to have excellent organization skills, capable of interpreting engineering drawings and performing work to detailed work plans. Daily operations are performed in a controlled cleanroom environment.

The Propulsion Work Center supports the fabrication and test of satellite and launch system propulsion systems at our Dulles campus. Candidates for this position will receive training and work as part of a team to support our high tech and high pace flight integration operations. Typical installations include but are not limited to mechanical and thermal assembly and integration activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Capable of interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Able to work well with others
• Have good communication skills
• Open to work extended work hours and weekends when demand necessitates.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using common hand tools and measuring devices commonly used in aerospace: Multi-meter, Torque wrench, Caliper/ micrometer, Tooling commonly used for lock wire application.
• Tooling commonly used for lock wire application.
• Precision tube forming experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience mixing and applying adhesives for structural bond applications.

Salary Range: $43,600 USD - $72,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
