The Business Operations Project Manager will support program execution and operations in Northrop Grumman Mission System's Development Division.
These responsibilities encompass driving continuous improvement into operational efficiency; developing and implementing the Division's operations strategic plan across the annual operating planning period; leading operations across assigned program areas including infrastructure management, communications and information flow, workload forecasting, security management coordination, as well as engagement in NG's Digital Transformation; leading independent reviews and providing summary status information on programs and investment projects to leadership, with the goal of ensuring operational effectiveness across the division.
This position oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The chosen candidate will be an independent starter with project leadership skills. And will have leadership skills, as well as excellent communication skills to be able to interface with executives across the division.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 10 years (or a Master's Degree plus 8 years) of related experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication experience across a geographically dispersed teams.
  • The ability to initiate, develop, integrate, execute, direct and control program plans and cost and schedule baselines that meet both project requirements and stakeholder expectations
  • The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that project information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets project and stakeholder needs
  • Ability to maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with program security requirements.
  • Consistently makes time to seek and incorporate input from customers and understand their expectations. Demonstrates commitment and energy to meet customer needs. Builds strong relationships with strategic partners and key suppliers. Guides project team and support functions on how to take action to satisfy customer expectations.
  • The ability to identify and address project impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the project.
  • Analytics experience
  • Agile or Digital Transformation experience

Ability to maintain a Top Secret/SCI and/or SAP clearance

Salary Range: $113,200 USD - $169,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
