Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking highly qualified, mission oriented Survivability Systems Engineering Managers for the Survivability Systems Engineering Department. If you like pushing the boundaries of technology and pushing yourself, this job is for you!
As a leader in the Advanced Aircraft Design Center, you will be responsible for leading a team developing cutting edge Survivability technology. Our work influences the design of the next generation of aircraft and is a driving force behind the investment decisions of our senior leadership and customer program offices. We work closely with our external customers and internal collaborators to further the technologies at the heart of Aircraft Survivability. System Survivability frequently collaborates across functional disciplines, offering highly unique opportunities to obtain a broad understanding of many technical areas, or to more narrowly focus on developing a deep expertise in any one of the relevant fields. In this role, the breadth and depth of your growth and development are limited only by your willingness to learn and challenge yourself.
The positions will be located in Redondo Beach and El Segundo, California. Multiple positions are available. The successful candidates will fill one of the following roles.
The Survivability Section Manager is a dual-hat Engineering Manager responsible for both section management (up to 20% of time) and existing program/projects or other responsibilities (80% or more of time). The Section Manager is also a member of the Systems Survivability functional organization with responsibilities to perform resource planning and staffing; employee development, including skills training and career exploration; performance management, including employee goal setting, performance appraisals and issue resolution. The Section Manager is also responsible for the deployment, measurement, and improvement of applicable engineering processes.

Salary Range: $143,500 USD - $215,300 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
