Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking a Next Generation OPIR (NGP) Bus Execution Manager 3 to join the Space Vehicle and Software Engineering Directorate. This position is located in Redondo Beach, California. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Bus Execution state of work (SOW) including NRE, RE and subcontracts.

As the NGP Bus Execution Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Bus Element Lead in the cost, schedule, and technical execution of the NGP Bus Element. The Bus Element consists of the following nine Subsystems: Bus System Engineering, Structures & Mechanisms, Attitude Control, Electrical Power, Propulsion, Telemetry Tracking and Control, Bus Flight Software, Design Integration and Space Vehicle (SV) Test Bed. The total Bus Element budget for Phase 1 (ATP to CDR) and Phase 2 (Post CDR to Launch) is ~$620M. The selected candidate will have management and technical experience in one or more of subsystems above, management of unit subcontracts, leadership of a diverse technical team including manufacturing and integration, cost and schedule management, experienced Cost Account Management (CAM), and Risk and Opportunity Management experience to facilitate and collaborate Bus Element SOW.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM degree from an accredited university with 7 years of experience in Space and/or Defense industry
• Proven technical management experience in Bus design and hardware experience
• Proven 5 years of management experience
• Proven ability to lead and influence a high performance team
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearances
• Earned value management training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree with 15 years of space and defense industry experience
• Previous subcontract management experience
• Previous IPT, Bus Lead or Program Management experience
• Previous management and technical experience in one or more of these Subsystems: Bus System Engineering, Structures & Mechanisms, Attitude Control, Electrical Power, Propulsion, Telemetry Tracking and Control, Bus Flight Software, Design Integration and SV Test Bed
• Possess exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearances

Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
