Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Principal Agile Product Owner for the Sector Pricing & Estimating organization. This will require the ability to support the overall Northrop Grumman organization as well as manage and complete assigned projects independently.

The selected candidate will support the Information Technology Manager for Pricing & Estimating. This role will be remote or hybrid, located near one of our major Northrop Grumman Space Systems locations:

  • Chandler, AZ
  • Gilbert, AZ

  • Roy, UT
  • Aurora, CO
  • Dulles, VA
  • Huntsville, AL

The Principal Agile Product Owner represents Product Management and the voice of customers on the Agile development team. Collaborates with Product Managers to define the work so that the integrated team can review, commit, and execute within a defined period. Prioritizes key areas of work during a program increment, ensures that the software development team understands the intent and requirements of feature and user story definitions, and that the team is aligned on all acceptance criteria. Represents customer interests and continuously dictates team backlog priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assume the role as the Space Sector BOE Next Product Owner, supporting the Digital Transformation Office in the planning, development, training, and implementation of the enterprise-wide platform.
  • Support the Pricing & Estimating Information Technology Manager as the Product Owner in the planning, development, training, and implementation of future enterprise-wide information technology platforms that will produce high quality proposal tools for the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross sector, division, and business unit Pricing & Estimating stakeholders to incorporate enterprise Pricing & Estimating strategies, initiatives, and requirements into new information technology platforms.
  • Provide liaison support between Pricing & Estimating stakeholders, end users, and information systems development teams to ensure necessary business requirements are considered.
  • Develop solutions which require regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensuring solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines while handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to coordinate with, support, and assist developers to maintain and enhance Space Sector Pricing & Estimating applications (Python, JavaScript, ASP.NET) a preferred qualification.
  • Ability to create and modify databases, tables, and views in support of various applications using SQL Server a preferred qualification.

The selected candidate must possess the following:

  • F lexible approach to work, an understanding of working collaboratively on a team, & willingness to be an active and supportive member of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to function independently, meet deadlines and achieve commitments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating, and problem solving with a wide range of people.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience developing and/or managing Information/application Systems or project/business management
  • Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience developing and/or managing Information/application Systems or project/business management
  • Or, in lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience developing and/or managing Information/application Systems or project/business management
  • Demonstrated ability to support complex operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively drive projects from planning to completion.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration.

  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (SAFe POPM) certification (or similar Agile certification).
  • Ability to program in Python, JavaScript, and ASP.NET.
  • SAP, Costpoint, and ProPricer Experience.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics software experience.
  • Cross-sector experience.
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.
  • Master's Degree in a Business or Information Technology related field.
  • Current Secret clearance.

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $152,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
