Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst to support activities under our Missile Defense Future Lab (MDFL) facility as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: supporting fast-paced, high-profile programs; create, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers. Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Routinely support new business pursuits and classified solicitation activities which encompass visitor processing, meetings and coordination activities.

The individual selected for this position will serve as a Security Lead to the MDFL and will report directly to the Huntsville Space Systems Security Manager. This role will be responsible for ensuring classified and company sensitive information is handled and safeguarded in accordance with government and company policies and procedures. The individual selected must have experience with the following: knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, personnel security, physical security, OPSEC etc.). Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor's access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and related briefings. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate and administer classified programs IAW DD254
  • Ensure adherence to all federal security regulations: 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM Supplements, DoDM 5205/07 V1-4, ICD 705, and ISLs
  • Interface with Management Teams, Customer, and suppliers
  • Consult and provide solutions to employees concerning the handling, storing, and maintaining of records, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records, buildings, and materials
  • Represents the HSV Space System security organizations at all applicable program meetings and functions
  • Interact daily with programs and functional managers on the development and execution of the security program
  • Ensures that all classified materials held by the sites are compliant with the regulations and directives which govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying classified information and equipment containing classified information
  • Provides security support to all cleared employees and approved visitors
  • Prepares program for all security related activities, audits, and assessments and assists in planning, implementing, and conducting security self-reviews
  • Conducts new employee security briefings, annual security refresher briefings, derivative classification training, exit interviews, debriefings, investigating and reporting security violations and incident reports
  • Write security operational plans for program implementation

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 Years of experience with Bachelors; 3 years with Masters
  • Must be a US Citizen and have current and active Secret Security Clearance/with ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
  • Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations (NISPOM, DoDM 5205 series, and Intelligence Community Directives)
  • Working knowledge of DoD classified programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a thorough understanding and working knowledge of NISPOM, DoDM 5205 series, and ICD security standards as well as OPSEC, personnel, industrial, cyber, physical, Information Security principles
  • Understanding and familiarity of DD-254 Implementation Requirements
  • Familiarization with issuing and overseeing contracts for facility security

Salary Range: $76,200 USD - $114,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
