Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is currently looking for a Principal Project Manager to join our team at the Palmdale CA facility.

This position is for the role of a Principal Project Manager. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project managers and principal727 engineers within the Program Homeroom. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serve as the liaison between program management, integrated product teams (IPT), and interdisciplinary work orders (IWO). This individual contributor will support an IPT on all program reporting and executive level presentations.

The candidate will be required to demonstrate strong leadership and team building capabilities, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Leads IWO management for development and sustainment of technical data and training products in day-to-day execution

  • Manages and prepares status reports for cost, schedule, and technical execution for IWO management

  • Provide status reports, metrics, and presentations for internal NG and Customer meetings

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with 6 years with Bachelors or 4 years with Masters with project management / integration experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create and manage, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
    • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience
    • Experience with interfacing with all levels of leadership and employees
    • Current DoD Secret security clearance
    • Ability to obtain and maintain program access (PAR) as a condition of employment. This PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree
    • Intermediate to advance skills with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create and manage, especially Project
    • Experience in Cost Account Management / Earned Value Management Systems
    • Current Top secret security clearance

Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $125,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
