Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Software Engineer . This position (teleworking not available for this position) will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Mesa, AZ .

This career opportunity is a great fit for self-motivated, proactive individual who wants to contribute to the software role of Northrop Grumman's medium caliber Bushmaster gun controller product line. Our engineers work in a high exposure, fast paced, and exciting environment that involves hands-on technical challenges, problem solving, and inter-department collaborations. Activities will range across full lifecycle development, integration, and test. Will involve hands-on testing and troubleshooting, root cause/corrective actions, and stepping into other roles when needed.

This role includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

• Software requirements development
• Software architecture and detailed design
• Software implementation
• Software test
• Software requirements verification and validation

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science with 5 years of software engineering experience, OR a master's degree plus 3 years of software engineering experience
• Experienced in embedded systems software development, integration, and testing
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
